How does a global website deliver a personal shopping experience and help to generate leads?
Alfred Angelo, the world's leading maker of designer wedding gowns, wanted to condense four
separate global websites into one, update the code to .NET for future growth and make managing
the website easier and more cost-effective. And most importantly—drive leads to retail stores.
From a brand building perspective, we wanted to ensure that users experienced special wedding
gown shopping they could feel confident about.
Backe redesigned and reengineered the website creating a consistent, global brand identity plus the
functionality for each region to market with contests, website registration, events, promotions and
more. The website was launched within a tight timeframe and includes a robust Content Management System
with assignable CMS rights and privileges across regions.
Additionally, we have designed and implemented a comprehensive mobile site where brides can shop and
share at their fingertips.
Site traffic, as well as visits to brick and mortar stores, has increased steadily and dramatically since
its launch in 2007. The website has outstanding efficiency of code and server throughput — serving more pages
globally with less server horsepower.
Over the last year, Backe has helped bring to life several exciting cross promotions including the hot new
Disney and Twilight collections. The challenge is to be true to those brands while adding the Alfred Angelo
shopping experience in to the mix.
